Biography
I am a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School. Since my call to the Ontario bar in 1996, I have vigorously assisted and advocated for clients in the areas of civil litigation, business law and real estate. In the area of civil litigation, I have advocated in the courts in matters ranging from investment malpractice, insurance disputes, employment disputes, debt collection, shareholder and other commercial/business disputes, wills and estates disputes, and personal injury. I have also appeared before boards and tribunals for matters such as Motor Vehicle Accident Benefits, CPP disability, Ontario Disability Support Plan, Criminal Injuries Compensation, Human Rights and Workplace Safety and Insurance. In the area of business law, I assist business people with negotiating, drafting and implementing simple and complex agreements such as shareholder agreements and the purchase and sale of a business. I also provide advice to business people on every day issues that arise. In the area of real estate, I help people with preparing Agreements of Purchase and Sale and ensuring that their purchase or sale of property closes smoothly. I also deal with Planning Act/Committee of Adjustment issues, mortgages and leases.
